Rezwan Ferdaus was arrested for plotting an assault on the Pentagon and US Capitol using his recreational toys. The recent Northeastern student was arrested in his Framingham, Massachusetts after the FBI delivered explosive materials to him on an undercover operation. The 26 year old Physics major requested six machine guns, grenades, and 24 pounds of C-4 explosives.
As an American citizen, this raises danger signs and threatens the safety for US citizens. The arrest made on Wednesday was part of a sting operation that prevented many similar fictional plots against other skyscrapers, nightclubs, and even our governmental landmark.
Rezwan Ferdaus was convinced that America was evil when he began to visit jihadi websites and watching his videos. Taking the wrong route and not following the road signs (thank god), Ferdaus landed into the hands of undercover agents. He was striving to take out “the heart of the snake” by taking out the Pentagon.
He was planning on strapping bombs to his remote control airplanes and attacking US landmarks. Ferdaus, appeared in Court on Wednesday on charges of attempting to destroy federal buildings and providing support to a foreign terrorist organization.
